Subject: Excellent Jack Benny Show
Jack Benny is in excellent form as are Don Wilson, Eddie Anderson, and guests Johnnie Ray and a brief appearance of Danny Thomas. Well worth watching. The audio and visual were good for a 61 year old episode.

Subject: Johnny Ray Show (The Jack Benny Program).
Season 4, episode 4.
Original air date: 15 November 1953.
Cast: Jack Benny (Jack Benny), Eddie `Rochester` Anderson (Rochester Van Jones), Don Wilson (Don Wilson), Johnnie Ray (Himself) and Danny Thomas (Himself).
One of many episodes know to be in Public Domain.
From: IMDB.
Eddie Anderson stole the show. He was brilliant like Always. He even stole the show to Jack Benny Himself even if Eddie was in his day off.

Subject: The Brilliance That Was "Rochester"
Eddie Anderson, a very talented actor who appeared as "Rochester Van Jones" on Jack's radio and TV shows from 1937 through the end of his weekly series in 1965, occasionally had moments to "shine" on the Benny program...including the all-important "middle commerical", where Jack would integrate his sponsor's product into the proceedings {usually through announcer Don Wilson}. Here, "Rochester" is given a rare opportunity to demonstrate his unforgettable gravel-throated singing voice, and soft-shoe abilities, by singing the praises of Lucky Strike to the tune of "On the Sunny Side of the Street". His ability to get laughs at Jack's expense is equally demonstrated [who else could get a big reaction by saying "It's my day off?"]. If you understand the relationship between Jack and "Rochester" (he's supposed to be Benny's valet, but is far more independent than he appears to be), you'll see why people enjoyed their interplay for years...

I just watched a bit of this program and discovered that it is complete with original commercials! Yay!
